Paralegal

Meet Mariia, a dedicated paralegal at our office specializing in both immigration and family law. Originally from Ukraine, Mariia obtained her Master’s degree in International Law from the Institute of International Relations in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2007. In 2018, Mariia furthered her legal education by graduating from Suffolk University Law School with a Master of Laws degree. During this time, she also
completed a certificate program in Paralegal Studies from Boston University Metropolitan College.

Mariia began her path in the U.S. as a family law paralegal, developing her skills and expertise in this area of law. With time she made a transition to the role of a senior Immigration Paralegal focusing her specialization on business immigration before joining our firm in April of 2023. Currently Mariia provides legal support to our team of Associate Attorneys, facilitating communication and interaction with clients, preparing legal documents, conducting research, managing case files, and assisting in other aspects of family law litigation. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and compassionate approach make her a trusted advocate for our clients during challenging times.

Mariia is currently preparing for the Massachusetts Bar Exam.

Kaylea earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal justice with a minor in both Law, Justice, and Advocacy and Marine Biology from the University of Tampa. She is now a 2L at Suffolk University Law school where she is involved in the Women’s Law Association, Environmental Law Association, among a number of other organizations. Prior to her experience at The Halks Firm she lived and worked in Tampa, FL as a Legal Clerk in Real Estate and HOA law, also gaining experience with general counsel matters and complex litigation strategies. She enjoys drawing, running, and spending time with her Maine Coon cat Darwin in her free time.


Kethry MilneKethry Milne

Kethry Milne's academic journey culminated in her graduation from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2023, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She had previously attended Hofstra University where she initially developed an interest in the legal field.

During her academic pursuit, Ms. Milne held an internship at the Massachusetts Trial Court's Court Service Center. It was here that she was introduced to the complexities of family law and found her calling in providing aid to families navigating challenging circumstances.

In addition to her academic and professional endeavors, Kethry actively participates in the Massachusetts Trial Court community, further enriching her understanding of the legal landscape and reaffirming her commitment to service.
